Stopped in popular Joe's Cafe for breakfast while searching for a room. Asked Joe if he knew of any good rooms around, and he said, "Actually, we have rooms here."
This place has such a warm feeling about it, and Joe is such a fantastic guy. Anything you would like, he is more than capable and willing to help.
The staff are friendly and helpful.
It is close to all the attractions and a two minute walk to the beach to catch the sunrise. If I am back this way again, I will definitely be heading straight here.

Silver Moon with the famous Joe's cafe is the place to stay in Mammalapuram. In a quiet street, close to the beach, clean rooms, AC, good bathrooms, very friendly staff. Very nice!
Absolutely best place to stay in Mahabalipuram. It is ideally located near all the good restaurants and cafes, as well as just steps away from the beach for surfing. Has everything you would need (AC, attached café, hot water), clean, attentive staff, but the best part is the owner, Joe. He helped us with anything we ever needed, including going above and beyond to help us buy bus tickets, sim cards, organize travels to parks, spot-on restaurant recommendations. and allowed us to leave our surf equipment and luggage safe with him while we traveled. All around good guy, now like family, and made our stay wonderful. We would have been lost without staying here. Would never stay anywhere else in Mahabs.

No Service available. In night when AC leakage going on head , on request no-one came.
Basically a home with certain modernization used as hotel.
badsheet are dirty and used home badsheet (no white badsheet), room walls full of water leakage marks.
Small water gyser in washroom with no hot water.
Its good under cost of 500 rs.
Given the price, rooms are decent. I have booked AC room, it was good. The beds would have been improved. This is near to beach and all places.
After reading so many great reviews about this guest house, I decided to book for a couple of nights. Unfortunately I feel it is overrated. It's OK if you're on a budget and don't mind rooms that aren't very clean. I stayed in the Delux room on the first floor, you can also hear noise from the Cafe downstairs.
The Cafe does good coffee and breakfast.
I feel this place has seen better days and there are far better options around.
It's a nice cozy guest house. location is great. Room was clean. Only bathroom needs some repair. That kinna put me off a bit. Fan wasn't working. Too much electricity issue that day. Laundry service available. Staff is nice and warm. Joe's cafe downstairs has amazing food and coffee. Fresh and delicious.
All monuments are walking distance . A lot of cafes nearby are open till late. Place has a vibe .
The ac is not working properly, felt too hot, their is no power back up, room cleaning is not proper, when their is no power complanied same to owner but he is not willing to listen ac stopped working when asked for same or change in room their is no response. Very bad place to stay, their are lot of good options, stayed in the month of march.
